ESPN - Iran scored two goals in stoppage time to claim a stunning 2-0 victory over 10-man Wales at the World Cup this past Friday. Roozbeh Cheshmi and Ramin Rezaeian scored in the 98th minute and 101th minute respectively to hand Carlos Queiroz's Iran a real chance of qualifying for their first World Cup knockout stages. Following this match, Iran now have three points after two games ahead of their clash against United States next week, while Wales remain on one point. "We are gutted, there is no other way to say it," Wales captain Gareth Bale told the BBC after the match. "We fought until the last second and we need to go again."

England’s Raheem Sterling and Bukayo Saka found the net for a second and third time in the 43rd and 45th minutes to increase England’s lead to 3-0. The scoring didn’t stop there as Bukayo Saka would score again in the 62nd minute. Iran showed some life and notched their first goal of the World Cup in the 65th minute via Mehdi Taremi. Jack Grealish added a goal which marked six total for England. Iran would add a penalty kick later and the score would end up 6-2 in favor of England.
