6.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Idaho

Tuesday Evening, March 31st, 2020, a magnitude-6.5 earthquake, recorded to be the state’s largest in nearly 40 years hits the state of Idaho. The quake’s epicenter was just outside of Stanley and the tremors resonated to Oregon, Eastern Washington, Montana and even as far north as Canada. Stanley Mayor Steve Botti reports that there were at least nine aftershocks and fortunately, no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries.
