Madame A, an unscrupulous businesswoman, controls Evertown, a city without greenery in which sport has not been practiced for years. The only land still to be conquered is the one on which Spikersfield College stands, but, not being for sale, the woman organizes an attack to kill the owner Armand Alea. His will, however, states that, in order to take possession not only of the land and the school, but also of the Torch of Olympia, kept in the museum of the institute, one must participate in a women's volleyball tournament, the Alea Cup. Against the team of Madame A, the Black Roses, the Spikersfield Spike Team clashes, a team formed by Jo, Vicky, Beth, Patty, Susan and Ann Mary, coached by Lucky, a former champion. Thanks to the tournament, the six girls discover not only their strengths and weaknesses, but also the special virtues that, represented by six gems, are able to rekindle the fire of Olympia.
