FOX - The death toll from the mass shooting at a ballroom dancehall in Monterey Park, California during Lunar New Year celebrations has unfortunately risen to 11 at this time of writing. Of the 10 people killed and 10 others injured, four of those victims were sent to LAC+USC Medical Center for treatment. One of those victims has just reportedly succumbed to their injuries today, bringing the total death toll to 11. "Our heroic staff at LAC+USC Medical Center have worked tirelessly to care for the four victims entrusted in our care," the medical center said in a statement. "Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we are saddened to share that one of the victims has succumbed to their extensive injuries. We want to express our deepest sympathies to their families and loved ones."

Rancho Cucamonga Lunar Festival happened Sunday, just one day after the tragedy. Riverside Lunar Festival, scheduled for next week, is also planned to still happen. Panana Events, the organizer of both events, is coordinating with city officials and law enforcement to enhance security.
