LATimes - Megan Thee Stallion has just been named best new artist at the 2021 Grammy Awards. With Lauryn Hill as her only predecessor back in 1999, Megan is the first female hip-hop artist to win the category in 22 years. And while Megan and Cardi B's performance of their hit single, "WAP", at the awards ceremony, was praised by many fans and other artists alike, it was also deemed provocative in nature and overall inappropriate. To which the artist replied, “if you don’t have no haters, you’re not poppin’,” Megan told The Times. “So that just really let us know we’re doing something right.”
